About Us

Paul and I have been married for over 10 years. Our strong interests in both computing and handmade herbal skincare/remedies has led to us partnering up in a business capacity and as a result Internet Engineering and The Aromatic Outback were created.

For The Aromatic Outback I provide the creativity and formulatory knowledge behind the products and Paul provides the brawn as well as technical support.

For years, ever since a small child, I have been fascinated by handmade skincare and herbs and their benefits. Which turned out to be a useful thing because as an adult I began to develop chemical sensitivities. So in 1995 I took an adult education class on handmade skincare and soap and has never looked back. I researched and read, read and researched anything and everything I could get my hands on to learn more about making quality skincare and soap. The internet proved a major windfall of knowledge and allowed me to network with other soapmakers from around the globe, sharing and imparting wonderful reams of knowledge.

From 2000 to 2004 we sold our handmade skincare and soap professionally under the business name Aromatique Accents. Frustratingly though I suffered a bout of bad health in 2004 which meant not being able to keep up with the production quantities required to run the business so it was, sadly, closed down.

So now, in 2008, we are ready to again sell our products and this is the beginning of our second journey into professional soapmaking with The Aromatic Outback.
